Tech Lead

We are looking for a Tech Lead for our Order Management domain who combines strong technical expertise with inspiring leadership. You’ll shape the technical roadmap, ensure uptime and code quality, and coach a talented development team. If you’re passionate about scalable systems, continuous improvement, and guiding others to build high-performing e-commerce solutions, this role is for you.

You will:

• Define and drive the technical roadmap (3–6 months horizon) for the Order Management domain, ensuring scalability, performance, and uptime;
• Lead and coach the development team, fostering a culture of quality, ownership, and innovation;
• Collaborate with the Enterprise Solution Architect, Product Owner, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into sound technical solutions;
• Stay hands-on with development in JavaScript, Node.js, and MySQL, ensuring high code quality and technical consistency;
• Promote best practices in Agile and DevOps (Kanban, Scrum) while continuously improving delivery and reliability.

We Ask:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a developer or tech lead, including 2–3 years in e-commerce;
• Senior backend PHP expertise;
• Technical skills in JavaScript, Node.js, and MySQL;
• Willingness to travel approximately 3 times per year to international vidaXL-locations;
• Experience with Agile frameworks and modern DevOps practices;
• Confident communicator. Able to challenge leadership, guide the team, and coach developers toward excellence;
• Open, innovative mindset with a focus on uptime, quality, and collaboration across global teams (Serbia, India), with occasional visits to one of our international offices if required.
