Currently we sell and service our products in more than 150 countries around the world, with major sites in Venlo/NL, Fredericia/DK, Bovisio/ Italy, Conroe TX/USA and Ningbo/China. Our clients in agriculture, food & beverage, waste-to-energy and industrial gases benefit from our strong brands Haffmans and Union Engineering.

In order to achieve our further growth, we are looking for a SGS Global AMSS (After Market Service Solutions) Sales Manager.

Job description

In this role you are responsible for the full team of sales managers (Approx. 20 direct reports) implementation of agreed AMSS sales activities for enabling the AMSS business to reach the budget results for the area. Responsibility for proactive sales of spare parts, components, service agreements and remote support on a global scale. Apart from your contacts with the various internal departments, you will have frequent communications, both nationally and internationally, with customers and suppliers. During the realization phase, you will manage a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary team. Together with a team of talented people you will be ultimately responsible to ensure the growth of the entire AMSS business by fostering sales growth and margin expansion while making sure that the jobs are timely converted to sales (in full compliance to SOX – Sarbanes Oaxley rev. rec rules). Part of the challenge will be to take care about Pentair’s numerous SLA – Service Level Agreements expanding their current scope and fostering the sales of new ones.

You will also be responsible for developing the After Market Sales teams & activities about which SGS has significant growth ambitions by:

  • Leading weekly and monthly business reviews with the teams analysing short term and long-term plans to achieve the targets set for the P&L of AMSS. Reporting actions and short/long term outcomes to the Director of Project Management and AMSS Sales & Service as well as to the General Manager of SGS and to the Group ISC Leader, Industrial Solutions .

  • In cooperation with the Market Line Managers of our three main markets (Biogas / Beverage / Industrial Gas & Carbon Capture), participating and helping to define and implement the overall service business strategy enlarging first our existing offers to installed base customers and then leveraging on AI/digital to provide new service offers which can support further growth in the future.

  • Being accountable for reaching the ambitious sales growth targeted in Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and for the global P&L inherent to the AMSS part of the business.

  • Creating an environment for successful continuous improvement processes in all areas of service with focus on aligning between the following multiple sites.

  • Developing and maintaining a strong relationship built on mutual trust, respect and cooperation with direct customers and strategic accounts as well as other channel partners, distribution management we will leverage on to execute our strategy locally.

  • Ensuring the overall Service performance matches customers’ expectations and future developments will secure long term growth ambitions.

  • Identify sales opportunities for AMS in the defined area and document in SalesForce.

  • Increase AMS buying basket of the existing customers

  • Contact inactive customers (“sleeping” customers) and generate AMS sales.

  • Plan and visit selected markets/customers when required.

  • Present AMS offerings (spare parts, components, service agreements and remote support).

  • Keep close customer contacts by phone, mail, etc.

  • Respond and follow up on customer inquiries.

  • This position reports directly to the Leader of Project Management and AMSS Sales & Service.

    Key Qualifications:

  • You have a relevant technical background at Bachelor (HBO)

  • 10 to 15 years of multi-cultural experience within large multinational companies

  • Relevant experience in After Market Sales and on sales of Service products.

  • Having managed teams involved in Aftermarket especially in Biogas/Energy transition environment would be a plus.

  • You have a good overall knowledge of ERP / SAP systems.

  • Detailed background knowledge and/or hands-on experience in relevant industries.

  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office and in the English both spoken and written

  • You are able to travel (international) to our customers for meetings when required (approx 50%).
