You will make a difference as Total Aspect Model Developer. Here’s how
The Total Aspect Model Developer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving a model-based cost prediction system used during the early stages of product development. By using a Domain Specific Language (DSL) for cost modeling, the role focuses on creating structured models that estimate total product cost based on product architecture, component configurations, and system dependencies.
In this position, the developer works closely with system architects, project leads, and engineers to provide reliable cost insights that support design and development decisions. The role involves configuring product variability across a wide range of hardware options, enabling scenario modeling and sensitivity analyses to identify key cost drivers. This helps project teams evaluate design alternatives and make informed trade-offs before physical prototypes are built.
Additionally, the Total Aspect Model Developer collaborates with software engineers to improve the functionality and usability of the cost modeling tools and coordinates the integration of new data sources required for accurate cost calculations. The role also involves experimenting with modeling attributes, algorithms, and analytical methods to continuously enhance the predictive capabilities and robustness of the cost model.
Overall, the position contributes to a more data-driven and model-based approach to cost management within a complex, multidisciplinary R&D environment.
