As a Logistics Engineer, you are responsible for designing and optimizing logistics processes from the quotation phase (RFQ) to implementation and aftercare for new customers. In addition, you continuously work on improving existing customer operations through re-engineering. You ensure that logistics solutions are not only efficient and scalable, but also perfectly match the customer’s wishes.You focus on designing and optimizing logistics processes within various locations in the Netherlands. Your areas of focus include intake, storage, removal, value-added services, and the link with transport and customs processes. You work on both manual and (semi)automated solutions, tailored to the customer’s wishes and the operational reality.In this role, you play a crucial role in:Requests for Quotations (RFQs)Implementation of new customer projectsRe-engineering of existing logistics processesWhat we askWhat are you bringing?A higher professional education working and thinking level, obtained through education or experience;At least 3 years of relevant experience in logistics;In-depth knowledge of logistics processes, including warehousing and value-added services;Familiarity with transportation and customs integrations is a plus;Excellent skills in Excel, Visio, Word and PowerPoint;Experience with Power BI and AutoCAD (LT or 3D) is a plus;In-depth knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS);Strong affinity with IT systems and digitalization of logistics processes.What we offerA challenging position comes with interesting employment conditions:Directly under contract with our client;A salary of up to €6,500 depending on knowledge and experience;Working in an engineering role where all facets are covered, offers you a lot of variety in the position;Bonus scheme up to 10% depending on company results and performance;Contribution to sports costsWorking in a close-knit team; About the companyOur client is a leading player in the logistics sector, focused on delivering integrated supply chain solutions.
