Global developer of Coating Technology based in Venlo, the Netherlands (with offices based in Japan, China, Switserland and the USA) has a 12-24 month contract position available for a Field Service Technician/Engineer. While travelling around the globe you will be doing the thing you like most: solving customer issues. Technical expertise will be combined with social skills, advising the customer about the systems capability and additional offerings to propose. As a Field Service Engineer you will be responsible for troubleshooting and preventive maintenance. You will assist customers with their possible machine related issues via phone, e-mail, remote communication and onsite visits. Occasionally you will also install upgrades and modifications at customers’ sites worldwide. Tertiary technical qualification in Electrical Engineering (Trade/Diploma). Min 4 years experience working as a travelling site technician doing maintenance on fine machinery, preferably within coatings/manufacturing industry. Not older than 28.
Remuneration: € 3909 p.m.
Requirements:
- Not older than 28
- Technical degree on “MBO” level 4, preferably in electrical engineering,
- Valid driving license
- You have min. 4 years relevant work experience in a similar position
- Independent firm personality, a great sense of responsibility, good analytical skills and a team spirit
- Feeling for commercial aspects, organizational talent and a customer focused representative attitude
- Speak & write English fluently and preferably German
- Foreign cultures and international communication challenge you.
- Trustworthy and respectful
- Willing to travel worldwide for at least 50%, if needed several weeks in a row -able to travel the same or next day as requested.
- Actual amount of travelling depends on the amount of work. The 1st 12 weeks will be in Venlo for training
- You are prepared to be available after standard working hours for customer calls during your consignment shift (hotline).
Duties:
- As Field Service Engineer responsible for troubleshooting and preventive maintenance
- Assist customers with their possible machine related issues via phone, e-mail, remote communication and onsite visits
- Occasionally install upgrades and modifications at customers’ sites worldwide
- Proper administration and follow up is a must
- Provide the customer with correct knowledge transfer and listen well to their requirements
- Give training to the customers in operating, maintaining and troubleshooting the systems
- Provide feedback to your colleagues concerning specific customers’ wishes and technical developments
- Assist your Customer Support and Manufacturing colleagues
- Report to the Manager Field Service
