As a coordinator you are responsible for one or more processes within the warehouse, with the emphasis mainly on coordinating your team. You divide the work among the different employees and keep priorities in mind. You can often be found in the workplace and you monitor progress. As a Coordinator you also ensure that work instructions are up-to-date. WIs are part of this, but I think this is not the priority task, but ensuring a pleasant working environment where safety, quality and product quality are the focus points. and set it up if necessary. You report your activities and findings to the Team Leader. This position is on day shift.
Your tasks consist of:
• Coordinating operational activities within the department;
• Training and educating (new) employees;
• Drafting and updating work instructions;
• Instructing, informing and supporting the employees of the department, so that the work is carried out safely, efficiently and correctly (including KPIs and productivity);
• Actively respond to (expected) disruptions and opportunities for improvement of the processes of the department.
Who are you?
You can monitor the overview well and have good process insight and the drive to motivate, coach and develop/supervise the people in your team. Your attitude is characterized by enthusiasm and involvement and you know how to transfer your positive energy to your team. You speak the language of the workplace and you feel at home in a diverse team. In order to carry out your work as well as possible, you have good communication skills.
What knowledge do you bring with you?
• You have knowledge of logistics processes and see where improvements can be applied;
• You are familiar with the MS Office package;
• You have experience with Warehouse Management systems; this is a plus
• You operate at MBO level, obtained through training or experience;
• You have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role;
• Good knowledge of the Dutch language and English in word and writing.
